Art Gallery of Contemporary Balkan Art
The Art Gallery of Contemporary Balkan Art, located in Kontias, this artistically restless village, houses great names in Balkan art.
Works that mainly show the way in which artists understand Lemnos, from Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, FYROM and Turkey.
These creations finally found a home in the elegant stone building of the Gallery. This was created with zeal and a lot of effort by the art lovers of Kontias and today they are the permanent exhibits of the Gallery.
In parallel with the permanent collection, periodic exhibitions of artists from Lemnos, the rest of Greece or abroad are hosted from time to time.
